Exploring Economic and Clan Activities of Huizhou Small Clans Since the Mid-Qing Dynasty——Centered on the Wu's Documents of Shujiawu in Qimen County Museum
Huizhou clan plays an important role in Huizhou society.The economic activities of the clan are one of the aspects to examine the growth and development of the clan.Through the collation and analysis of Shujiawu documents in Qimen County,it is found that agricultural economy and forest economy are the main economic activities of Shujiawu Wu's participation.Shujiawu Wu's documents show many realities of Huizhou's small surname clans in the Ming and Qing Dynasties,such as equal distribution of property sons,mutual assistance within the clan,protection of clan property and resolution of internal contradictions within the clan.The economic activities and clan activities of Huizhou small surname clans seen in the Shujiawu documents are of certain significance to understanding the real life of Huizhou small surname clans.
