In order to effectively advance the"New Normal Education"reform,a questionnaire survey and quantitative analysis were conducted involving 66 administrative and teaching staff,as well as 64 English education majors of eight local undergraduate universities.The study identified urgent issues in the training of English education major tal-ents across four areas:training objectives,curriculum design and practical teaching,quality monitoring and assessment mechanisms,and collaborative education.In alignment with the demands of the"New Normal Education"philosophy,the paper offers specific recommendations and countermeasures in these areas.These include refining training objectives,op-timizing curriculum design,reinforcing practical teaching,strengthening quality control and evaluation mechanisms,as well as deepening collaborative education efforts.The aim is to provide valuable insights and references for the reform and innovation of training models in English education majorin terms of objectives,approaches,pathways,curriculum,and e-valuation systems.
