The Effect of Self-control on Bedtime Procrastination:A Moderated Mediating Model
College students'sleep problems are getting worse and worse.According to data analysis,more than 60%of students face the challenges of sleeping.Based on the theory of limited self-control,this study explores the psychologi-cal mechanism behind college students'bedtime procrastination.In this study,507 college students in Anhui Province were investigated by self-control scale,self-regulated fatigue scale,bedtime procrastination scale and general self-efficacy scale.The results showed that self-control has a significant positive predictive effect on bedtime procrastination;Ego de-pletion mediates between self-control and bedtime procrastination;Self-efficacy regulates the second half of this mediating effect.The results of this study provide a new perspective for understanding the occurrence and mechanism of bedtime procrastination among college students,and offer empirical support for the prevention and intervention of bedtime pro-crastination.
