Contemporary Inheritance and Protection of Huizhou Traditional Solar Terms
The transformation of social structures has led to the gradual disappearance of solar terms,which were once characterized by guiding agricultural production,from contemporary daily life.Along with this,some solar term customs have been neglected or even lost.In modern society,solar term timing still holds a special position within the general calendar system and continues to serve certain social functions that are adhered to by people.In ancient Huizhou,various folk activities were held,reflecting both natural environment and human life.The inheritance and protection of new era folk customs should start from establishing and developing various forms of folk culture,exercising subjective ini-tiative,and integrating solar term food customs into daily life.This will allow solar term folk traditions to become part of modern urban living—a crucial pathway for their inheritance and preservation in urban settings;at the same time,atten-tion should also be paid to the problem of cultural diversity to create regional cultural brands.
