The Effect of Seed-dressing Agents on the Growth and Yield of Late-sown Wheat in Rice-wheat Rotation System
To investigate the effects of seed dressing agents on the seedling vigor and yield of late-sown wheat in Huai River region,"Huaimai 33"was used as the experimental material.Three different seed dressing treatments and one untreated control treatment were established to assess their impacts on field growth and yield of wheat. The results showed that compared to the untreated control, seed dressing agents A1 and A2 reduced the emergence height of the first leaf and the length of the first and second internodes, thereby reducing plant height. They also promoted biomass accumulation, enhanced tillering ability, and increased the number of effective spikes. The A1 treatment group exhibited better thousand-grain weight characteristics and significantly increased yield. The A3 treatment group increased the length of internodes and plant height, resulting in vigorous vegetative growth, strong tillering ability, and an increased number of effective spikes, although the number of grains per spike was somewhat reduced. In summary, seed dressing agents promoted seedling vigor, enhanced tillering, and stabilized or increased wheat yield, with agent A1 showing the best performance.
