Soil geochemical characteristics and prospecting results in Duoxielong Area of Southern Kuhai,Qinghai Province
Duoxielong Area of Southern Kuhai is located in Kuhai-Zuomugou Hg-Au-Pb-Zn-Sb-W metallogenic subzone of West Qinling Metallogenic Belt, which hosts multiple large and medium-sized gold polymetallic deposits, showcasing significant prospecting potential.A 1∶10 000 soil geochemical survey was conducted to preliminarily analyze the area's geochemical characteristics, focusing on the characteristics of element distribution,Au anomalies, and composite anomalies in Duoxielong Area of Southern Kuhai. The results reveal uneven Au anomaly distribution with high dispersion, identifying gold as a favorable metallogenic element in the area.Based on element associations and metallogenic geological conditions,7 composite anomalies were delineated.Engineering verification of the AP5 composite anomaly yielded promising results, discovering 4 mineralized zones and 3 ore bodies. The findings confirm the effectiveness of soil geochemical surveys for gold prospecting in Duoxielong Area of Southern Kuhai, further highlighting the region's good gold exploration potential.
