Naturalism and Mysticism——Probing into Schrodinger's Consciousness Theory
Schrodingefs theory of consciousness is based on the position of naturalism, and when natural-ism is unable to fully explain the phenomenon of consciousness,he resorted to the scheme of mysticism. His study of consciousness has a strong naturalistic imprint, advocating that the phenomenon of conscious-ness should be included in the whole life process for investigation, and then fundamentally explore the bas-ic issues of consciousness.Schrodinger used the theory of evolution to explain the phenomenon of con-sciousness,taking consciousness as an evolutionary category. He studied the generation of consciousness from the brain rather than from the consciousness, and found that consciousness is always connected with new changes in the brain. At the same time,Schrodinger's theory of consciousness not only explains the conditions for the production of consciousness, the material basis, and the functional role of conscious-ness,but also includes the study of the relationship between consciousness and the objective world.
