Research on Ergonomic Design of Hand-held Tools based on GQFD
In order to optimize the user experience of hand-held tools, the combination of quality function deployment based on grey relational analysis(GQFD)and ergonomics is applied to the product develop-ment of hand-held tools.Firstly, use non-participatory observation methods to observe user behavior and obtain user needs, and according to the ergonomic design principles of hand-held tools, the user needs are transformed into corresponding design elements;then use GQFD to construct a house of design quality, quantitatively evaluate the correlation between user needs and design elements, analyze the importance of design elements,so as to clarify the key design goals;finally, according to the principles and methods of ergonomics, the key design objectives are analyzed and designed, and the final design scheme is obtained. This method is applied to the improvement design project of manual plier of Prym Company in Germany. The design result not only meets the needs of users, but also improves the user experience, providing a new research idea for the innovative design of handheld tool products.
