Comparative Study of Algorithms Based on Efpi Fiber Optic Sensors
To study the demodulation effects of extrinsic Fabry-Perot interferometer(EFPI)fiber optic sensors, based on the wavelength division multiplexing technique, two algorithm demodulation are de-signed and implemented:the three-wavelength phase demodulation algorithm and the three-wavelength a-daptive intensity demodulation algorithm. The measured sound pressure sensitivity of the three-wavelength phase demodulation algorithm in the EFPI fiber sensor demodulation system is 899.88 mV/Pa(1 kHz),the signal-to-noise ratio is 75.5 dB(1 kHz),and the linear fit coefficient is 0.994;the sound pressure sen-sitivity of the three-wavelength adaptive intensity demodulation algorithm is 1106 mV/Pa(1 kHz),the signal-to-noise ratio is 67.5 dB(1 kHz)and the linear fit coefficient is 0.961.By comparing the characteris-tics of the two demodulation algorithms, the demodulation results are presented objectively, which pro-vides options for the application of EFPI fiber optic transducer audio demodulation systems in different sce-narios.
