Shame,Amah!is a self-translated novel by Eileen Chang.There are only a small number of arti-cles about Eileen Chang's self-translation home and abroad.This article will try to analyze Shame,Amah!from the perspective of translator behavior criticism through case studies.It is found that in the"Truth-seeking & Utility-attaining evaluative model of continuum,the translator behavior of Eileen Chang on her self-translated work Shame,Amah!conforms to the general law of"truth-seeking being the base with util-ity-attaining as the aim"and achieves a comparatively high degree of rationality.
