摘要
基于Fairclough的批评话语分析理论及其三维分析框架,在语料库软件辅助下,对卡塔尔世界杯期间China Daily和South China Morning Post关于中国经济的报道进行文本、话语实践和社会实践分析,探讨两家媒体所塑造的中国经济形象.研究发现,两家媒体构建了中国积极正面的"经济强国"和具有天下情怀"负责任的国际大国"的形象.
Abstract
Since entering the new era,China has made major achievements in economic development.Media is an important carrier of China's economic image in international communication.Therefore,China's English media reports play an important role in shaping China's economic image.Based on Fairclough's critical discourse analysis theory and its three-dimensional analysis framework,with the assistance of cor-pus software,this paper analyzes the text,discourse practice and social practice of China Daily and South China Morning Post's reports on China's economy during the Qatar World Cup and discusses the image of China's economy created by the two media.The study found that the two media constructed the image of China as a positive"economic powerhouse"and a"responsible international major-country"with universal feelings.
