Impact of solution-focused brief therapy on negative emotions in elderly patients with atrial fibrillation
Objective:To explore the impact of solution-focused brief therapy on negative emotions in elder-ly patients with atrial fibrillation. Methods:A total of 90 elderly patients with atrial fibrillation admit-ted to a tertiary hospital in Wuhan from June 2021 to May 2022 were selected as the study subjects. The patients were divided into a control group and an observation group using the digital table meth-od,with 45 cases in each group. The control group received routine diagnosis and treatment, while the observation group received additional solution-focused brief therapy intervention based on routine diagnosis and treatment.Negative emotions, treatment compliance, and cardiopulmonary function in-dicators before and after intervention were compared between the two groups. Results:After interven-tion,the anxiety scores and depression scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group. The treatment compliance rate was higher in the observation group as compared with that in the control group.Maximum heart rate, forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1),and maximum ventilation were all higher in the observation group than in the control group. These differ-ences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Solution-focused brief therapy intervention can alleviate negative emotions, improve treatment compliance, and enhance cardiopulmonary func-tion for elderly patients with atrial fibrillation.
