Expression and clinical significance of C-kit and miR-193b-3p in thyroid cancer tissue
Objective:To investigate the expression and clinical significance of C-kit and miR-193b-3p in thyroid cancer tissue.Methods:A total of 103 specimens of thyroid cancer tissues and paracancerous tissues removed intraoperatively from thyroid cancer patients in Beijing Jishuitan Hospital,Capital Medical University were collected from January 2020 to July 2020.Immunohistochemistry(IHC)was applied to detect C-kit protein expression,the relative expression level of miR-193b-3p was de-tected using qRT-PCR method;Spearman correlation was applied to analyze the correlation between C-kit and miR-193b-3p expression in thyroid cancer tissue;Kaplan-Meier method was applied to ana-lyze the relationship between the expression of C-kit and miR-193b-3p in thyroid cancer tissue and prognosis;multivariate Cox analysis was applied to analyze factors that affected prognosis.Results:Compared with those in adjacent tissues,the relative expression level of miR-193b-3p and the positive expression rate of C-kit in thyroid cancer tissue were reduced(P<0.05).The expression of miR-193b-3p and C-kit in thyroid cancer patients with different TNM stages,lymph node metastasis,and differentiation levels showed significant differences(P<0.05).There was a positive correlation between C-kit and miR-193b-3p expression in thyroid cancer tissue(P<0.05).The 3-year survival rate(90.57%)of patients with high miR-193b-3p expression was higher than that of patients with low expression(70.00%);the 3-year survival rate(93.1%)of patients with C-kit positive expression was higher than that of patients with negative expression(75.68%);C-kit and miR-193b-3p were protec-tive factors for poor prognosis in thyroid cancer patients(P<0.05).Conclusion:The expression levels of miR-193b-3p and C-kit in thyroid cancer tissue are reduced.Both are sensitive to the progno-sis of thyroid cancer patients and can be used as diagnostic markers.
