Expression of UHRF1 in lung adenocarcinoma by data mining and its clinical significance
Objective:To explore the expression of UHRF1(Ubiquitin-like with PHD and RING finger do-main 1)in lung adenocarcinoma and analyze its prognostic impact on lung adenocarcinoma patients by conducting data mining based on bioinformatic databases. Methods:The expression of UHRF1 in pan-cancer was explored using the GEPIA database. The UALCAN and Kaplan-Meier Plotter data-base were used to analyze the clinical correlation and prognostic significance of UHRF1 in lung adeno-carcinoma patients. The related functions of UHRF1 were analyzed by GSEA.Proteins interacting with UHRF1 were analyzed in the String database. The relationship between the level of UHRF1 ex-pression and immune infiltration in lung adenocarcinoma was analyzed using the TCIA database. Results:The expression of UHRF1 was different in pan-cancers,and the expression level of UHRF1 in lung adenocarcinoma tissues was significantly higher than that in normal tissues(P<0.05).The ex-pression of UHRF1 was significantly correlated with age, gender, smoking habits, and pathological stages of lung cancer patients.Kaplan-Meier curves indicated that high UHRF1 expression was associ-ated with poor prognosis(P<0.05).GSEA,protein-protein interaction(PPI)and immune infiltration analysis suggest that UHRF1 may serve as a potential molecular biomarker and promote lung adeno-carcinoma by DNA methylation, ubiquitination, proliferation, migration and tumor immune infiltra-tion.Conclusion:UHRF1 may serve as a prognostic biomarker for lung adenocarcinoma and has im-portant clinical significance.
