Objective:To investigate the clinical application value of coaxial catheter technology in transanal ileus tube intestinal obstruction catheterization.Methods:From January 2018 to September 2022,a total of 35 patients with colonic obstruction were selected from Xiangzhou District People's Hospital of Xiangyang,who underwent transanal intestinal obstruction catheter placement using coaxial catheter technology;Another 35 patients with intestinal obstruction and were implanted with the traditional method(without using the coaxial catheter technology)were set as traditional group.The clinical data of the two groups were retrospectively analyzed,and the differences in operation time,intraoperative radiation exposure time,and treatment effect were compared.Results:The ileus tube was successful-ly inserted through the anus in both groups,and the technical success rate was 100%.The operation time of the coaxial catheter group was significantly shorter than that in the control group as(80.69±21.85)min vs.(157.06±48.48)min(P<0.001).The exposure time of intraoperative radiation was shorter as compared with that of the traditional group,as(25.04±7.11)min vs.(49.19±14.40)min(P<0.001).After treatment,19 cases(27.1%)were cured(8 cases in the coaxial catheter group and 11 cases in the traditional group),and no significant difference was found between the two groups(P=0.420).A total of 19 patients(27.1%)underwent one-stage surgical resection/colonic stent im-plantation(11 cases in the coaxial catheter group and 8 cases in the traditional group),and there was no significant difference between the two groups(P=0.420).Twenty-seven patients(38.6%)were significantly improved(13 cases in the coaxial catheter group and 14 cases in the traditional group),and there was no significant difference between the two groups(P=0.806).The remaining 5 patients(7.1%)lost the opportunity for surgery and eventually died in hospital or discharged from the hospital(3 cases in the coaxial group and 2 cases in the traditional group),with no significant difference be-tween the groups(P=1.000).Conclusion:The use of coaxial catheter technology in transanal ileus tube implantation can reduce the operation difficulty,shorten the operation time and radiation expo-sure time,and reduce the radiation dose of doctors and patients.
