Soluble urokinase plasminogen activator receptor(suPAR)is a soluble protein produced by the cleavage or shedding of the urokinase plasminogen activator receptor(uPAR)during inflammatory conditions.Because of its stable nature,suPAR is a more reliable indicator of persistent or chronic infection than traditional inflammatory markers and has been used in recent years as a novel biomarker of inflammation in diseases. This article aims to summarize the research on the relationship between suPAR and childhood trauma experience and depression. In the future, there is still great practical value in the direction of childhood trauma and depression, concerning the role of suPAR in basic and clinical research.
