Clinical observation of micro-focused ultrasound for facial rejuvenation treatment
Objective:To evaluate micro-focused ultrasound's therapeutic effect and adverse reactions for fa-cial rejuvenation. Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on 26 patients treated with micro-focused ultrasound for facial rejuvenation. The overall improvement was evaluated using the global aesthetic improvement scale(GAIS),and the wrinkle severity rating scale(WSRS)was used to assess the degree of improvement in facial wrinkles, the visual simulation evaluation method was used to de-termine the degree of treatment pain, and patient satisfaction and postoperative adverse reactions were recorded. Results:After one session of micro-focused ultrasound treatment, the overall facial situa-tion of 26 patients improved immediately and 3 months after treatment, with improvement levels of(3.46±0.69)points and(3.27±0.59)points,respectively;The overall improvement of the face 3 months postoperatively was comparable to that immediately after treatment, without statistically sig-nificant difference(P>0.05).The nasolabial folds score showed significant improvement immediately and 3 months after treatment, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Based on their visual rating of treatment pain,69%of patients rated the pain as mild, while 31%rated it as moderate. The self-rating of treatment satisfaction showed a total immediate satisfaction rate of 100%and a total satisfac-tion rate of 96%after 3 months. The postoperative adverse reactions included redness, swelling, pain, and abnormal sensation of the buccal mucosa. All the symptoms were mild and resolved sponta-neously,and no severe adverse reactions were found.Conclusion:Micro-focused ultrasound has a sig-nificant and long-lasting therapeutic effect on facial rejuvenation, with high comfort, mild adverse reac-tions,and high patient satisfaction.
