Clinical efficacy of injectable platelet-rich fibrin combined with fractional CO2 laser in the treatment of alopecia areata
Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of injectable platelet-rich fibrin(i-PRF)combined with fractional CO2 laser in the treatment for patients with alopecia areata. Methods:A total of 72 pa-tients with alopecia areata will be selected as a study subjects.According to the random number table method, the selected patients were divided into two groups. The combined group received i-PRF+la-ser treatment, while the control group only received laser treatment. All patients received three times of treatment with an interval of one month, and during the treatment, all patients took compound glycyrrhizic acid tablets orally. The characteristics of dermatoscopic lesions in the alopecia areata area before and after treatment were observed and evaluated by severity of hair loss tool(SALT)score.High-frequency ultrasound were used to evaluate the improvement of scalp blood flow.Question-naires were adopted to investigate adverse reactions. Results:After treatment, compared with that re-spectively in the control group, the number of dermatoscopic lesions, the SALT scores and alopecia areata area were less in the control group(all P<0.05),the blood flow improvement in the combined group was better(P<0.05),but no statistically significant difference was found in the incidence of ad-verse reactions betweem the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:i-PRF combined with fractional CO2 laser can promote blood circulation, regulate angiogenesis, promote cell proliferation and regenera-tion,provide nutrient delivery, reduce the damage of autoimmune response to hair follicles, improve the treatment effect, and have no adverse reactions, with high safety and effectiveness.
