ALA-PDT treatment for anal condyloma acuminatum complicated with AIDS:Two cases report and literature review
Objective:To report the diagnosis and treatment process of two patients with anal condyloma acuminatum complicated with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome(AIDS),providing reference and guidance for the treatment of similar clinical cases.Methods:The clinical data and diagnosis and treat-ment process of two patients with anal condyloma acuminatum complicated with AIDS were re-viewed,and the related literature was searched and analyzed.Results:Based on medical history,physical examination,and auxiliary examination results,the patient was diagnosed with anal condylo-ma acuminatum and AIDS.When traditional treatment is ineffective for these patients,attention should be paid to their AIDS treatment status,and the combination of aminolevulinic acid-photody-namic therapy(ALA-PDT)can reduce recurrence.Conclusion:For patients with condyloma acumi-natum complicated with AIDS,controlling viral load can reduce their recurrence rate.
