Objective:To explore the efficacy and safety of intense pulsed light(IPL)therapy combined with supramolecular salicylic acid in rosacea treatment. Methods:A total of 40 patients with rosacea admit-ted to Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University from April to October 2023 were enrolled as the study subjects, and were randomly divided into the study group(n=20),with IPL therapy combined with supramolecular salicylic acid treatment, and the control group(n=20),with IPL therapy alone. After 12 weeks of treatment, the total effective rate, facial erythema score, and the incidence of adverse re-actions during treatment were evaluated in both groups. Results:The total effective rate of the control group was lower than that of the study group after 12 weeks of treatment(P<0.05).After treatment, the facial erythema score in both groups decreased, and the study group showed lower values than the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions be-tween the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:IPL-combined salicylic acid treatment of rosacea demonstrates superior clinical efficacy and a good safety profile. It can effectively promote the recovery of skin lesions, and reduce facial erythema.
