Research on the Mode of Cultivating Applied Talents in Insurance Programs at Local Universities in the Context of"New Liberal Arts+New Business Science"
In the context of the dual background of"new liberal arts+new business science",the insurance profession,as an im-portant branch discipline in the financial field,needs to balance its talent training model in two aspects.On the one hand,it should emphasize the cultivation of interdisciplinary comprehensive qualities to nurture students with critical thinking,cross-border cooperation ability,and social responsibility,which meets the requirements of the construction of new liberal arts.On the other hand,it should focus on cultivating business thinking,market insight,and sensitivity to meet the needs of the financial industry and adapt to the diversified challenges of modern society.However,there are still some problems in the training of applied talents in the insurance profession in local universities in China,and the pro-gress is not ideal.The main manifestations are the disconnection between insurance education and the insurance industry,the lack of a mechanism for industry-coordinated talent cultivation,and the inflexibility of the university management system.To improve the above situation,local universities need to start from three aspects:innovative curriculum design,strengthening practical education,and improving the quality of the teaching staff,promoting the reform of the talent training model for applied talents in the insurance profession,and thus providing a guarantee for the structural reform of talent supply in the insurance industry.
