The era of omnimedia brings new opportunities for ideological and political work in universities,such as diversified edu-cational means,resource sharing,personalized targets,and scientific evaluation of effectiveness.However,it also poses new challenges,including complicated information dissemination,diversified student ideologies,an open educational en-vironment,and integrated work modes.To seize these new opportunities and address these challenges,universities should adopt a student-centered approach in their ideological and political work,emphasize"practice-based educa-tion"and"holistic education,"incorporate contemporary elements into the content,expand the scope of education,strengthen value guidance,and cultivate well-rounded personalities.In terms of methods,universities should leverage new media technologies,build omnimedia platforms,enhance big data analysis,and promote online-offline collaboration to actively advance the innovation and development of ideological and political work in universities.
