Based on the data of China's A-share manufacturing listed companies from 2008 to 2020,the impact of data infrastructure system construction on the digital technology innovation of manufacturing en-terprises and its mechanism were investigated,using the difference-in-differences model.The research re-sults show that the construction of data infrastructure system promotes the digital technology innovation of manufacturing enterprises through the mechanism of talent empowerment,management empowerment and strategic empowerment.Further research finds that the digital technology innovation effect of data infra-structure system construction is more significant in the non-state-owned enterprises,the enterprises in areas with strong intellectual property protection,and those with high data opening level of local govern-ment.
