Digital Preservation and Application of Historical and Cultural Villages and Towns
Digital technology is increasingly applied in the preservation and development of cultural heritage,offering new approaches to the protection and utilization of historical and cultural villages.Addressing the innovative demands for the protection and development of such villages,this paper empowers the safeguarding and development of historical and cultural vil-lages with digital technology.It first articulates the fundamental concept of digital preser-vation of historic cultural villages,constructs a theoretical system for their digital preser-vation,and comprehensively summarizes the digital methods and content used in the digital preservation of historical cultural villages across various fields.More specifically:First,the information on landscape genes,landscape genomics maps,and map symbols provide robust theoretical support for the digital preservation and application of historical cultural vil-lages;secondly,diverse digital technologies enable comprehensive recording and permanent preservation of information from historical cultural villages,along with the digital display and dissemination of the collected and recorded information.In terms of digital applications in historical cultural villages,the digital content can offer effective guidance for urban and rural planning and smart management and can integrate with various industries to realize indus-trial expansion and extension.In summary,digital technology brings endless vitality and momentum to the cultural protection and inheritance of historical cultural villages.It is nec-essary to continuously promote the digital transformation of historical cultural villages and enrich the theoretical research on the digital geography of rural China.
