Exploration of Rapid Estimation Techniques for Forest Carbon Storage
In the Gross Ecosystem Product(GEP)accounting system for terrestrial forest ecosystems, carbon storage accounting is the core content. The traditional method of using tree measurement factors to calculate forest carbon storage has many drawbacks, such as high field workload, high cost, long working hours, and difficulty in implementation. This article intro-duces a new method for rapid estimation of forest carbon storage. This method involves detecting leaf composition and fine classification of forest vegetation tree species through hyperspec-tral detection, inverting a segmented vegetation index function and obtaining a stable leaf area index through surface fitting, and then inverting the tree factor from the quantitative total leaf area density Alternatively,a grid method can be used to directly calculate forest biomass and carbon storage through the proportion relationship between dominant tree species, which has the advantages of high coverage, high efficiency and low cost.
