Since the beginning of the 21st century,urban renewal,as an important way to cope with the transformation of urban construction,is the main work of the second half of new urban-ization,and is a hot topic of research attention.In this paper,CiteSpace is used to trace the evolution path and visualize the hot spots of 1789 urban renewal research papers since 2000.The results show that:(1)urban renewal research has ushered in explosive growth in recent years and is still a hot research topic;(2)The research hotspots show the characteristics of stages with the changes of national policies;(3)The research takes architecture and engineering as the main discipline,and expands and deepens it under the promotion of the integration of multiple disciplines;(4)The research evolution path and hot trend orientation are people-oriented,paying more attention to people's needs,and micro-renewal,public participation,and community governance have become the research hotspots.
