The effects of combined application of different cake fertilizers on growth, yield, quality and disease resistance of tobacco leaves were compared by using field experiment. The results indicated that in comparison with pure chemical fertilizer treatment, combining cake fertilizers with modest amount of chemical fertilizer can promote the growth of tobacco leaves, increase the yield of flue-cured tobacco and the ratio of mid-high grade leaves, and obviously improve the quality of tobacco leaves. However, the effects of combined application of cake fertilizers with different proportions on yield, quality and disease resistance of tobacco leaves were different when the total fertilizer rate of cake fertilizers was the same. Therefore, when total fertilizer rate of three common used cake fertilizers in Longshan tobacco planting area in Hunan province was around 400 kg/hm2, the optimum applying proportion of rapeseed cake to sesame-seed cake to soy bean cake should be 7:2:1.
