Analysis of Correlation between Developmental Stage of Microspore and Morphological Characters of Floral Organs of Hot Pepper
The correlation between developmental stage of microspore and morphological characteristics of floral organs was analyzed by paraffin section method for four different genotypes of hot pepper.The results showed that microspore of hot pepper developed at three stages:tetrad,microspore and mature pollen gain.The developmental stages of microspore are bound up with morphological characters of floral organs.There were significant differences in sizes of flower bud and anther between each developmental stage of the same genotype of hot pepper.Moreover,there were differences in sizes of flower bud and anther at the same developmental stage between different genotypes of hot pepper.Therefore,the developmental stage of microspore can be determined by morphological characters of flower bud and anther.
