The Physiological Indexes of Tobacco Drought Resistance Identification by Principal Components Analysis
14 tobacco varieties were taken as experimental materials.Tobacco plant was implemented to drought stress with controlled water supply by pot-culture method. The tobacco leaves were followed by measurement of nine physiological indexes during stress treatment (5, 10 and 15 d).Then final comprehensive evaluation on sensitive physiological indexes of tobacco drought resistance identification was analyzed with principal components analysis method. The results showed that the four principal components were selected by principal components analysis to evaluate the sensitive physiological indexes of the various stages of drought stress. The principal components of physiological indexes at different stages in the drought were slightly different. The comprehensive analysis indicated that catalase activity, contents of proline, contents of soluble protein, leaf water content, peroxidase activity and soluble sugar content were the most closely connected with tobacco physiological drought resistance.
