Summary of Methods on Soil Microbial Community Structure
The author reviews the traditional soil microbial culture method and the progress of microbial molecular biology techniques to study soil microbial diversity, including the method of Biolog, phospholipid fatty acid analysis method (PLFA), denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE), and terminal restriction fragment length polymorphism (T-RFLP) etc. Besides, within the development of high-throughput sequencing technology and metagenomic, not only their widely usages but also the future trends in the study of diversity soil microorganism has been prospected in this paper.
