Effects of Different Straw Returning Methods on Soil Nutrients and Agronomic Traits of Brassica campestris var.purpuraria
The effects of different straw returning methods on the soil nutrients and agronomic traits of Brassica campestris var.purpuraria were studied in Jinfu Village,Yangjiaqiao Town,Xiangtan County. The results showed that compared with the blank control without basal dressing, straw returning by composting in the field, composting in ponds, and smashing-mulching improved the soil acid-base buffer environment, increased soil organic matter and nutrients, and enhanced soil fertility, thus promoting the growth of B.campestris var.purpuraria.Compared with the blank control, the three straw returning methods increased the yield by 7.48%,10.35%,and 6.19%,respectively.In conclusion, straw returning can improve soil fertility and promote plant growth and the method of composting in ponds outperforms composting in the field and smashing-mulching.
