Effects of Different Base-Topdressing Ratios of Nitrogen Fertilizer on Growth,Yield, and Quality of Cherry Red Tobacco
To further clarify the most suitable nitrogen fertilizer application strategy for cherry red tobacco, the base-topdressing ratios of 3∶7,4∶6,5∶5,6∶4,and 7∶3 were set under the condition of the same total nitrogen application. The effects of different base-topdressing ratios of nitrogen fertilizer on agronomic characters, disease occurrence, photosynthetic characteristics, economic characters, and chemical composition of flue-cured tobacco leaves were analyzed. The results show that the leaf area of tobacco plants increases with the increase in the base-topdressing ratio of nitrogen fertilizer. The photosynthetic characteristics increase first and then decrease. The leaf area of flue-cured tobacco is significantly higher than that under other treatments when the base-topdressing ratios of nitrogen fertilizer are 6∶4 and 7∶3.When the base-topdressing ratios of nitrogen fertilizer are 5∶5 and 6∶4,the net photosynthetic rate and transpiration rate of tobacco leaves are significantly higher than those under other treatments.Field observation shows that the disease occurrence degree under each treatment is low. When the base-topdressing ratios of nitrogen fertilizer are 6∶4 and 7∶3,the economic characters of flue-cured tobacco are better, and the reducing sugar, total nitrogen, chlorine content, and sugar-base ratio of tobacco leaves are in the high-quality range. The treatment with potassium content and the base-topdressing ratios of nitrogen fertilizer of 7∶3 meets the high-quality standard, and the chemical composition of tobacco leaves treated with the base-topdressing ratios of nitrogen fertilizer of 7∶3 is the most coordinated overall. In conclusion, the optimal base-topdressing ratio of nitrogen fertilizer for cherry red tobacco is 7∶3 under the above experimental conditions.
