Effects of Controlled-Release Fertilizers on Yield and Fertilizer Utilization Efficiency of Double Cropping Rice
Field experiments were conducted to explore the effects of controlled-release fertilizers on rice yield, main traits, apparent utilization efficiency of nitrogen fertilizers, and input-output compared with conventional fertilizers under the condition of equal nitrogen fertilizers instead of conventional fertilizers and reduced base fertilizers and top dressing, respectively. The results show that compared with conventional fertilizers, the total yield and annual yield of double cropping rice treated with controlled-release fertilizers(equal nitrogen fertilizers or reduced nitrogen fertilizers)were significantly increased, with the total yield increasing by 2.46%-8.11%and the economic benefits increasing by 2 070.8-3 074.4 yuan/hm2.The controlled-release fertilizers(equal nitrogen fertilizers)significantly improve the apparent utilization efficiency of nitrogen fertilizers in early-season rice by 19.57-24.14 percentage points, but they reduce the apparent utilization efficiency of nitrogen fertilizers in late-season rice by 6.56-13.64 percentage points.
