Estimation and Convergence Analysis of Agricultural Green Total Factor Productivity in Gansu Province
The SBM model and GML index were employed to calculate the agricultural green total factor productivity(GTFP)in Gansu Province with the data from 14 cities and autonomous prefectures during 2005-2020.The regional differences and convergence were analyzed to provide a basis for optimizing the allocation of agricultural resources, coordinating regional development, and achieving high-quality agricultural development. The results showed that from 2005 to 2020,the annual growth rates of agricultural GTFP and technological progress index in Gansu Province were 0.33%and 1.67%,respectively.Technological progress was the leading force driving the growth of agricultural GTFP.The agricultural GTFP presented obvious variations during 2005-2020 and among different regions in Gansu Province, being high in the central area and low in surrounding areas. The agricultural GTFP in Gansu Province showed no significant σ convergence but absolute β convergence and conditional β convergence from 2005 to 2020.According to the results, this paper believes that promoting the advancement of agricultural technology, accelerating the transfer of agricultural technology among regions, updating the mode of agricultural development, and optimizing the allocation of agricultural resources are effective approaches to improve the agricultural GTFP and narrow regional gaps in Gansu Province.
