Comprehensive Evaluation of Amorphophallus bulbifer(Roxb.)Blume Germplasm Resources Based on Phenetic Classification
The introduced germplasm resources of Amorphophallus bulbifer(Roxb.)Blume were subjected to the DUS test focusing on petiole and corm traits, and a total of 15 germplasm resources were identified.Diversity analysis, correlation analysis, principal component analysis, and comprehensive evaluation were performed based on the traits of various germplasm resources. The findings indicated that among the 12 morphological traits assigned, petiole primary color showed the highest diversity index and petiole smoothness were with the lowest diversity index.Among the 10 morphological and quality traits, reproduction coefficient had the highest coefficient of variation and leaf radius showed the lowest coefficient of variation. Moreover, highly significant positive correlations were observed between leaf radius and petiole base diamater and between starch and amino acid content, while significant positive correlations were observed between petiole base diameter and the number of small leaves.Growth potential, konjac glucomannan content, and dry matter content were highlighted in principal component analysis. With A.bulbifer ED43 as the control, six germplasm materials, including FD21,CO32,JF32,AD21,AE31,and JD51,were selected for the breeding of excellent A.bulbifer cultivars.
