Identification of Pathogens Causing Major Fungal Diseases of Kiwifruit Leaves in Hunan Province by rDNA-ITS Sequencing
This study aims to identify the species and reveal the relative abundance of fungal pathogens causing fungal diseases of kiwifruit leaves in Hunan Province.A total of 31 diseased leaf samples were collected from plants of six kiwifruit varieties including'Hongyang','Miliang No.1',and'Cuiyu'in the kiwifruit planting areas in Hunan Province, and the pathogens were isolated and screened. The species and relative abundance of pathogenic fungi were determined by rDNA-ITS sequencing combined with annotation against the UNITE database. The species and relative abundance of the pathogens were compared among different areas and host varieties.A total of 316 pathogenic fungal strains were isolated from the diseased leaves, belonging to 75 species,25 genera of 3 phyla.Alternaria,Colletotrichum, and Diaporthe were the dominant genera, with the relative abundance of 36.71%,18.04%,and 14.56%,respectively.The area with the most pathogen genera was Huaihua City, followed by Shaoyang City and Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture. The top three kiwifruit varieties with the most pathogen genera were'Hongyang','Miliang No.1',and'Cuiyu'.
