Study on Spatial and Temporal Changes in Landscape Patterns of Nanning City Based on Optimal Analysis Granularity
This study aims to determine the optimal spatial granularity for analysis of the dynamic changes in the regional landscape patterns of Nanning City,China.Based on the land use data of Nanning in 1990,2000,2010,and 2020,the optimal granularity was selected through qualitative and quantitative assessments using the inflection point identification method and the area loss evaluation method.Based on the optimal granularity, the landscape pattern indices were selected at the type and landscape levels. The temporal and spatial variations in the landscape patterns of Nanning were analyzed over the period from 1990 to 2020.The following results were obtained.(1)The impact of various landscape indices varied across different spatial scales, with 60 m identified as the optimal granularity for analyzing the landscape patterns of Nanning City.(2)At the type level, over the 30-year period, construction lands exhibited relatively high fragmentation;cultivated lands were distributed in small fragments and irregularly shaped;woodlands,as the predominant landscape type, demonstrated the highest degree of aggregation;grasslands, watersheds, and unused lands underwent varying degrees of change.(3)At the landscape level, the overall fragmentation of landscape in Nanning intensified over the 30-year period, with the landscapes evolving towards increased irregularity and complexity.
