Screening of Pepper Germplasm Resources Resistant to Phytophthora Blight
The pepper phytophthora blight caused by Phytophthora capsici is a serious soil-borne disease.In order to screen the pepper germplasm resources resistant to phytophthora blight,using 31 pepper germplasm resources as materials,the root irrigation method was adopted for the inoculation of Phytophthora capsici,and then the resistance levels of each material to pepper phytophthora blight were identified under greenhouse cultivation conditions.The results showed that there was a significant difference in resistance levels among different materials,with the disease index ranging from 0 to 94.Based on the expression of resistance,seven highly resistant materials,two resistant materials,nine moderately resistant materials,and ten susceptible materials were selected.
