Whole Genome Sequencing and Bioinformatics Analysis of a Pathogenic Strain G-2 in the Gut of Odontobutis potamophila
Whole genome sequencing and bioinformatics analysis were carried out to characterize the pathogenic strain G-2 causing gut bleeding of cultured Odontobutis potamophila. The results showed that the genome of strain G-2 contained 5 134 genes, including 4 977 coding genes and 157 non-coding genes(107 tRNA genes,42 rRNA genes, and 8 sRNA genes). In Nr,SwissProt,COG,and KEGG,5 109,3 339,3 362,and 2 543 genes, respectively, were annotated.Strain G-2 carried multiple enterotoxin and hemolysin genes and the genes encoding InhA protein, phospholipase, and protein toxins, which explained the gut bleeding caused by this strain. The phylogenetic tree built based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence identified strain G-2 as Bacillus thuringiensis.
