Effect of Different Soil Cover Thicknesses on Growth Characteristics of Machine-Transplanted Rice Seedlings
In order to clarify the effect of the soil cover thickness on the growth of machine-transplanted rice seedlings,Zhongzao 39 was used as the experimental material, and three kinds of thick soil cover treatments were set up,which were 0 cm(CK),0.5 cm(T1),and 1 cm(T2).The emergence rate, height, root length, leaf age, green leaf number, total root length, total projection area, root surface area, root volume, and other indicators of the machine-transplanted rice seedlings were measured. The results show that the emergence rate of T1 treatment is significantly increased by 68.6%compared with that of CK treatment, but there is no significant difference with T2 treatment. The seedling height, total root number, and aboveground fresh weight of T1 treatment are significantly increased by 95.4%,80.6%,and 66.7%,respectively,compared with those of CK treatment. The seedling height, leaf age, total root number, and aboveground fresh weight of the T1 treatment are significantly increased by 80.2%,40%,7.7%,and 25%,respectively,compared with the T2 treatment. In summary,a soil cover of 0.5 cm can effectively improve the growth characteristics of machine-transplanted rice seedlings.
