Diversity and Functions of Asteraceae Plants in Daweishan National Forest Park
This study aims to understand the species and medicinal values of Asteraceae plants in Daweishan National Forest Park located in Hunan Province and promote the development,utilization,and protection of Asteraceae plants.The quadrat sampling,interview survey,and route survey methods were employed to investigate and statistically analyze the Asteraceae plants in the park.The results showed that 37 species and 18 genera of Asteraceae plants grew in the park,accounting for 1.23%of the species and 7.72%of the genera of Asteraceae plants in China.Among them,the plants of Aster,Artemisia,and Conyza accounted for 13.51%,10.81%,and 8.11%,respectively,of the species belonging to Asteraceae in the park.The medicinal parts of the medicinal plants of Asteraceae included whole herbs,roots,rhizomes,leaves,flowers,and stems.The medicinal plants with whole herb as the medicinal part,including Xanthium strumarium,Artemisia argyi,Artemisia princeps,and Lactuca indica,accounted for 75%of the medicinal species.The effects of the medicinal plants included clearing heat and detoxifying,activating blood and resolving stasis,detoxifying and diminishing inflammatory,moistening lung and relieving cough,and regulating qi movement and resolving phlegm.Among them,the species with the effect of clearing heat and detoxifying accounted for 50%of total medicinal species.
