To promote the modernization of rural governance in China,we must take the road of high-quality development.In the context of resource decentralisation and other factors,the high-quality participation of farmers in rural governance has been on the wane,due to the differentiation of rural interests,the administrative trend of village governance,the neglect of the farmers'main role,and the low level of digital literacy among farmers.This situation affects the effectiveness of resource integration in the villages.It further negatively affects the creative development of farmers,thus hindering the high-quality development of villages.Under the goal of high-quality development,building the mechanism of a community of interests in the countryside,optimising the power structure of rural society,ensuring the main role of farmers and improving farmers'digital literacy should be considered as the paths to promoting farmers'effective participation in rural governance.
