Screening of Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria for Remediation of Pb-Contaminated Soil and Optimization of Fermentation Conditions
This study aims to effectively solve the lead(Pb)contamination in soil and realize the efficient remediation of heavy metal-contaminated soil.Four strain combinations, namely MR2-TS8,MR2-ZR1,ZS1-ZR1,and TS8-ZR1,were screened from 10 strains of plant growth promoting rhizobacteria based on the Pb tolerance, antagonistic relationship,indole-3-acetic acid(IAA)-producing capacity,AAC dehydrogenase activity,siderophore-producing capacity, and nitrogen-fixing capacity. The fermentation conditions(carbon source, nitrogen source,pH,and temperature)were optimized with the biomass and IAA production capacity of strain combinations as indicators. The results showed that the optimal fermentation conditions were fructose as the carbon source, beef extract as the nitrogen source,pH 7.2,and 25 ℃.This study provides a theoretical basis and practical reference for the remediation of heavy metal-contaminated soil by plant growth promoting rhizobacteria.
