Cyclodextrin has attracted extensive attention because of its unique spatial structure and chemical properties.Cyclodextrins can be incorporated with a variety of objects through self-assembly to form inclusion complexes, and the stability of the inclusion complexes generally depends on hydrogen bonds, van der Waals forces and coordination.Camphor is an important material in medical treatment and daily life.It has the functions of cooling, relieving pain, and repelling mosquitoes and insects. The inclusion of camphor with cyclodextrin can play a slow-release role and improve the thermal stability of camphor, thereby expanding its scope of application in various fields. In this study, camphor and cyclodextrin are used as raw materials to prepare camphor cyclodextrin inclusion complexes by saturated aqueous solution method. The preparation of camphor and cyclodextrin inclusion complexes under different conditions is investigated, and the inclusion complexes are analyzed by infrared and differential scanning calorimetry. The results show that the inclusion of camphor with γ-cyclodextrin has mild conditions and high yield, which improves the thermal stability of camphor.
