Diversity analysis of birds in Hunan Dongkou Pingxijiang National Wetland Park
In order to understand the current situation of bird diversity in Hunan Dongkou Pingxijiang National Wetland Park, the birds in the park were investigated by using line transect method from February 2021 to October 2022.The results showed that 114 species of birds were recorded, belonging to 44 families and 13 orders.Passeriformes was the main order of birds, with a total of 74 species(64.91%of the total species)in 29 families. The geographical fauna of bird was dominated by widespread species and Oriental species, accounting for 51.75%and 38.60%of the total species, respectively. The bird community was dominated by resident birds, accounting for 50%of the total species. There were one species of national first-class protected wildlife and eight species of national secondary-class protected wildlife. The complexity of the habitats was positively correlated with bird diversity index. The Shannon-Wiener diversity index(4.90)and Pielou evenness index(1.16)in spring were the highest, and the Margalef richness index(9.76)in autumn was the highest.Among different habitat types, the Shannon-Wiener diversity index of bird from high to low was arbor forest(5.02),wetland(4.04),shrub and grass(4.03),farming area(3.82),and residential area(2.72).This survey not only enriched the basic data of bird resources in the wetland parks, but also provided important data for biodiversity cataloguing and monitoring, and also provided a scientific basis for the scientific management and effectiveness evaluation of the wetland parks in the future.
