Using potted Epimedium sagittatum seedings as materials,the physiological and biochemical responses with three shading ratio of 70%,85%and 90%were analyzed.The results showed as follows:(1)There was significant influence of shading on chlorophyll a content,chlorophyll b content,chlorophyll a+b content and chlorophyll a/b value of E.sagittatum.The mean chlorophyll a content,mean chlorophyll b content,and mean chlorophyll a+b content of all measure time increased with the increase of shading ratio.However,treatment of 85%shading ratio possessed the lowest chlorophyll a/b value.(2)At the later stage of the shading experiment,the activity of leaf protective enzymes as POD and SOD and MDA content were relatively lower under the treatment of 85%shading ratio.
