衡阳市2023年国土绿化试点示范项目基线碳汇量监测

依据造林碳汇方法学和森林经营碳汇方法学,采用分层布点、典型抽样、标准地调查等方法,对湖南省衡阳市2023年国土绿化试点示范项目区基线碳汇量进行了监测.经测算,2023年12月20 日-2024年1月23日调查时点项目区基线林木生物质碳汇量估计值为90.45万t,人工造林和以幼龄林为主的退化林修复的项目边界内,基线情景下碳储量较低,混交林、杉木林、湿地松幼龄林的碳储量分别为相同优势树种的近/成/过熟林地的56.99%、56.83%、37.77%,未来有较大的碳储量增长空间;相比其他树种,杉木林的人工经营强度较高,碳储量增长潜力更大.开展基线碳汇量监测,可为衡阳市国土绿化试点示范项目碳汇增量监测打好基线数据基础,为评价项目在提升林草系统碳汇方面的能力等目标绩效方面提供科学依据.
Baseline carbon sink monitoring of the 2023 land greening pilot demonstration project in Hengyang City
Based on the methodology of afforestation carbon sinks and forest management carbon sinks,the baseline carbon sinks of the 2023 land greening pilot demonstration project area in Hengyang City,Hunan Province were monitored by means of stratified sampling,typical sampling,and standard site investigation.Through calculation,the estimated baseline forest biomass carbon sink in the project area at the survey time point from December 20,2023 to January 23,2024 was 904.5 thousand tons.Within the project boundary of artificial afforestation and restoration of degraded forests mainly composed of young forests,the baseline carbon storage was relatively low.The carbon sinks of young forests of mixed forests,Chinese fir,and slash pine were 56.99%,56.83%,and 37.77%of the near-mature/mature/over-mature forests with the same dominant tree species,respectively,and there was a significant space for carbon sink growth in the future.Compared to the other tree species,the artificial management intensity of Chinese fir forests was relatively high,and had greater potential for carbon storage growth.Conducting baseline carbon sequestration monitoring can lay a solid foundation for monitoring the carbon sequestration increment of the Hengyang land greening pilot demonstration project,and provide scientific basis for evaluating the project's performance in improving the carbon sequestration capacity of the forest and grassland system.
