Dynamic Reconfiguration and Meaning Co-construction:A Semiotic Communication Study on the Construction of City Image through Short Videos
Focusing on the case of Harbin's tourism"going viral",and employing semiotic communication theory, this study reveals the core mechanism in the process of constructing city image through short videos, namely the dynamic reconfiguration of symbols and meaning co-construction.The research finds that relevant short videos create a highly tense narrative situation by utilizing"prosumer"participation, detail excavation, and multi-sensory stimulation.By highlighting stories, themes, and meanings, they successfully trigger deep empathy among the audience. With the use of diverse symbols, the construction of interactive communities, and an in-depth exploration of the city's connotations,a new multidimensional image of Harbin is constructed. The paper suggests that in constructing city images through short videos, there should be innovation in narrative themes and techniques, introduction of diverse narrative subjects, expansion of narrative space, and promotion of profound reshaping of city image through interaction and dialogue.
