The academic quality standards proposed in the Chinese Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022)are the basis for the assignments of the senior high school entrance examination.The"whole book reading"is an important part of the exam and should be scientifically designed based on academic quality standards.The principles of"whole book reading"assignments of the examination should be literacy orientation,reading orientation,and promoting student reading.The assignment process includes clarifying the goal,analyzing and testing the characteristics of learners,sorting out the academic quality standards,writing examination questions,and formulating rating standards.Five optimization suggestions of clarifying the evaluation objectives of each type of classic works,optimizing theme design,optimizing situational creation,emphasizing reading strategies,and enriching literary genres are important strategies to improve the quality of"whole book reading"assignments of the examination.
