The Chinese path to modernization is a concept with rich connotation and distinctive characteristics.It is also a form of modernization that is different from capitalist modernization.It follows the common characteristics of modernization in the world,but also shows its own unique characteristics.The key to accurate understanding of the core essence and spiritual substance of the Chinese path to modernization lies in clarifying several fundamental issues about modernization theory,namely the intrinsic connection between"modernization"and"modernity",the dialectical relationship between"general modernization"and"special modernization",and the internal logic between the"totality"and"historicity"of modernization.Only by elaborating these three fundamental issues can we accurately understand the theoretical nature,the core essence and the historical trend of the Chinese path to modernization,and then get out of the"mystique of modernization".
